2023 September 24, Music Sharing at Senior Center & Fundraising for Hawaii Wildfires Recovery
On August 8, devastating wildfires moved through the Hawaiian island of Maui. It destroyed numerous buildings, caused more than 100 deaths, and left dozens injured.
All profits from this fundraising event ($1,835) were donated to help the victims of fires through the CDP Hawaii Wildfires Recovery Fund.

2023 April is Earth Month, it's a time to celebrate our planet and take action to protect it!
2023 February 26th, Fundraising Concert
On Feb. 6th, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake occurred in southern Turkey and Syria.
More than 50,000 people have died, tones of thousands injured and 6,000 buildings have been destroyed.
All profits from this fundraising concert in the amount of $3,055 were donated to help care the victims of the earthquakes.

Our team had two group, one group headed out in their neighborhood to pick up trash. Another group joined the California Coastal Commission and went out to Laguna Beach Heisler Park to pick up trash and clean up the local area and neighborhood. Together, we found many small pieces of trash, including plastic cans and beer bottles lying around that needed to be cleaned. We hope to make our environment cleaner and safer through this activity!

2022 April, Clean & Safe
On National Earth Day, BUI team members went out to a nearby park to pick up trash and clean up the neighborhood. Although the streets seemed clean upon first glance, with closer examination, we still found litter hiding somewhere. We would like to show our love and appreciation to the mother nature.

Christmas Concert for Seniors
Before Christmas, we distributed our Christmas Concert to several senior centers and got very positive feedback.

During the pandemic, we arranged a concert for the senior centers. Kudos to our students for their hard work.
We hope that our music would bring seniors comfort, happiness and joy!

We took care of our enviroment as we care for our health. During the pandemic, the fresh air and green outdoor space was more crucial to everyone. BUI members pickup trashes on the neighborhood streets and trails to give back to the place we all call home.

During the challenging time,we started the program to motivate students continue practicing , using music to lift their spirits.
2020 April 3rd, Thinking about seniors during these tough times
BUI planned multiple rounds of fundraising and raised $670, which we donated along with surgical masks, hand sanitizers, disinfection spray and wipes , and some handmade greeting cards to two local senior centers.
2020 March Covid-19 Fundraising for Local Hospitals
March 19, School was shut down due to Covid :(
March 20, BUI board meeting. Consensus reached between all members to do fundraising for local hospitals and people in need.
After three rounds of fundraising, we raised $4810 in total, donated to five local hospitals.
